When you launch the broadcaster software for the first time, it takes you to the channel creation wizard, we’ll walk you through it step by step.
The first thing that you are going to need to create is a username and password. This will serve as your login for the broadcaster software, as well as your login for rayv.com, where you can edit your channel data, and have access to other useful broadcaster tools.
You will also need to enter an email address where we can send you your broadcaster key, but more on that in a bit.
Here you can fill out the basic profile of your channel including the channel name, genre, rating (based on the us tv standard), a description of the type of programming you will be showing, along with the language and broadcast location. You will also be asked to choose your video quality. The broadcaster allows you to stream out at a low, normal, and high quality bitrate. You can set this based on your audience’s bandwidth, although most broadband connections can easily handle a 800k stream.
Once you have entered in all of the information, you are ready to work with the broadcaster software, however, not ready to broadcast yet.
You will need the broadcast key that will be emailed to you in order to start streaming. Simply copy it from the email, click the link on the error message in the broadcaster, paste in your broadcast key and click activate.
You’re now ready to broadcast.
